Kommentar zur Datierung	Bischof Pehthelm von Whithorn starb 735. In Brief 33 richtet Bonifatius die gleiche Frage an Nothelm von Canterbury. Er wurde 735 zum Erzbischof erhoben. Wegen der inhaltlichen Nähe werden die Briefe auf 735 datiert (Epp. Sel. 1, ed. Tangl 1916, 32, 55).
