Tochter von König Oswiu von Northumberland (Beda, HE III 24, ed. Colgrave 1969, 291-292). Sie fungierte als Äbtissin von Whitby ab 680 (Beda, HE iv 26, ed. Colgrave 1969, 429-430; Wiliam v. Malmsbury, Gest. Pont. III 116,2, ed. Binns, 2007, 387) und war mit Cuthbert (P23698) gut bekannt (Lapidge, Blackwell Encyclopaedia 2001,6). Sie stirbt 713 (Mac Airt/Mac Niocaill, Annals 1983, 169-171).
